जपजी साहिब को सिख धर्म में सबसे ज्यादा पढ़ी जाने वाली गुरबानी माना जाता है। गुरु ग्रंथ साहिब की शुरुआत जपजी से ही होती है। एक समय था जब कई हिंदू भी अपने दैनिक नितनेम में भी जपजी साहिब का पाठ किया करते थे। कई लोग अभी भी हिंदी गुटका का उपयोग करके जपजी साहिब का पाठ करते हैं, लेकिन गुरबानी सांध्य (गुरबानी पढ़ने के पाठ) की कमी के कारण, एक बड़ा वर्ग शब्दों का सही उच्चारण नहीं करता है जो बहुत दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है।
हालांकि जपजी साहिब के सही उच्चारण को याद करने के लिए हम कई उपाय अपना सकते हैं, जैसे इसे धीरे-धीरे पढ़ें और दूसरे काम करते समय इसकी ऑडियो रिकॉर्डिंग सुनें। आप हर हफ्ते अपनी आँखें बंद करके कुछ पौरियाँ (जपजी साहिब के छंद।) पढ़ने का भी प्रयास कर सकते हैं। इसके बाद स्वयं इसका बार-बार दोहराव करें।
