बाघ द्वारा किए जाने वाले हमले मानव
और वन्यजीवों के बीच होने वाले संघर्ष का ही एक रूप है। बाघ बिल्ली परिवार का
सदस्य है तथा अन्य बड़ी बिल्लियों द्वारा किए जाने वाले हमलों की तुलना में बाघ
द्वारा मनुष्य पर अधिक हमले किए जाते हैं। एक अध्ययन के अनुसार वर्ष 1800 और 2009 के बीच बाघों द्वारा
मनुष्य पर किए गए
हमलों के कारण कम से कम 373,000 लोग मारे गए थे। इस दौरान औसतन
प्रति वर्ष लगभग 1800 लोग मारे गए तथा मारे जाने वाले लोगों में से अधिकांश लोग बांग्लादेश
(Bangladesh), भारत, नेपाल (Nepal) और दक्षिण पूर्व एशिया(South East Asia) के थे।

शिकारियों की तरह बाघ भी अधिकांशतः तब ही हमला करता है, जब मनुष्य शिकार करने के लिए
उनका पीछा करता है या जब बाघ को मनुष्य से कोई खतरा महसूस होता है। इसके अलावा जब
बाघ अपने शावकों के साथ होता है तो अपने शावकों को सुरक्षा प्रदान करने के रूप में
भी वह इंसान पर हमला करता है। ऐसा अनुमान है कि भारत और बांग्लादेश के सुंदरबन वन्यजीव अभ्यारण में बाघ के हमलों से प्रति वर्ष 0-50 लोग मारे जाते हैं।
